Green Products And The Extent Of Alteration Of the Environment
There is a general misunderstanding about the green products. But all are concerned about the environment and future generations. This apprehension in the mind of the people helps them to understand the importance of green products.
There is a general feeling that green products do not harm the environment while at the time of production and in their subsequent use. But we have to understand and appreciate in the correct perceptive of all the facts about green products.
Many manufacturers claim that their green products will not harm the environment and they are promoting healthy environment practices. They are only partially true. It is not true that they are not harming the environment but the fact is that there are environmental damages. But we can rely on the claim partially, being the fact their action does not give a permanent damage.
The production for the green projects need huge infrastructure facilities and this is the part of development projects. The big development projects involve the acquisition of land, redirecting of the water ways or construction of dams etc. But we can control the extent of damages to the environment. So the environment damages occur at the initial stages of the production of green products.
The requirement of infra structural facilities create the environmental damages. But if the after effects are minimal, the initial damages will be compensated adequately.
The after effect can be judged by the fact how it is going to affect the future generation. To understand the effect on the future generations, we have to see whether the products which we are using or have used can be effectively disposed off. Will it have the bio degenerating properties? If the answer for these queries are yes, then it is an environment friendly product. By the bio degeneration, the product breaks itself and becomes part of the earth.
The product when discarded breaks and becomes part of the earth due to biological process is the property of bio degradation. The capacity for bio degeneration is the supporting factor for the sustain-ability of the environment. The disposals of the products are made as a natural process.
The safety of some of the products which are otherwise harmful within our home will be made safe by the green products. For example, chlorine is an essential chemical product for the purification of the drinking water but it has got harmful side effects.
When the purification is over we can reduce its harmful effects by green products. So it can act as a counterbalancing measure.
Our thinking and appreciation has to be towards the green products. Nowadays there are so many convenient products based on green products like shampoos, tooth pastes etc. When we demand more green products there will be more supply and more production means more use. This will ultimately make our environment healthy.
